Course Description

Introduction to graphical communication tools used by engineering. Design and graphical solution to three-dimensional design problems involving points, lines and surfaces. Development of visualization and technical sketching skills in conjunction with orthographic and pictorial projections. Tolerance analysis for fabrication. Basic descriptive geometry. Focus on computer-aided design and graphical analytical methods.

Prerequisites: NONE

Units: 4 units: Lecture3 hour/week; Lab 3 hours/week
